This interactive, 3-hour workshop introduces image classification concepts and workflows for ecological applications, using the ecoClassify package for SyncroSim. The session covers fundamentals of segmented image classification, machine learning algorithms, and practical modeling techniques. Participants will learn to build, run, and assess classifications on real datasets, and will gain hands-on experience interpreting results such as accuracy metrics, confusion matrices, and variable importance charts.

Format: In person workshop with hands-on exercises and Q&A
